About Margalla Trail Runners (MTR)
Margalla Trail Runners (MTR) is Pakistan’s pioneering trail running club based in Islamabad.
Founded in January 2021 by a group of passionate trail-running enthusiasts, MTR is a
community-driven club dedicated to promoting and encouraging hill, trail, and mountain
running in Pakistan.

MTR is hiring coaches to train kids between the ages of 7 to 14 years in running. These
trainings will prepare the kids for 1km, 3km, and 5km races held in a centralized area in
Karachi.

• Job Title: Running Coach
• Number of vacancies: 9
• Location: Different Areas in Karachi (Clifton, Bath Island, Machar Colony, Liayari, Chanesar
• Goth, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Jam Kando, Malir, F.B Area)
• Contract Duration: 2 months (October & November 2024)

Must have skills:
● Strong interest in running.
● Strong communication & leadership skills.
● Punctuality.

Good to have skills:
● Previous coaching experience will be preferred.
● Experience with working with kids will be preferred.
● Knowledge of any regional language.
Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role:
● To train kids 3 times a week on school premises. (one hour each session).
● Some administrative work related to kid’s training.
● Supporting Role during Race Day (held at a different location than school), such as
Pacer, warm-up session leader, etc.
● Reach assigned school well in time and follow school protocols.
