Galiyat Mountain Trail Race 60km

Option 1: Registration Fee: 15,000 PKR (Local Runners) and 18,000 PKR (International Runners) Race Entry Fee, Bib, Finisher Medal, and Hydration and First Aid Support. Transportation from Khaira Gali to Nathia Gali.  Prizes for the Top 3 winners in male-female categories. ITRA and UTMB Points.

Running bag/pack to carry obligatory equipment throughout the race.
Mobile/cell phone (Race Director and Organizers number saved), keep the phone turned on and make sure the phone is fully charged at the start of the race.
Personal cup/beaker 15cl minimum in addition to bottles or flasks.
Bottles, flasks, or water bladder that holds a minimum of 1 liter of liquid.
Whistle+
Self-adhesive elasticated bandage which can serve as a bandage or strapping
Food reserve - Recommendation: 800kcal (2 gels + 2 energizing bars each of 65g)
Jacket with a hood that will withstand bad weather in the mountains and made with a waterproof and breathable membrane.
It is the runner's responsibility to judge if their jacket is both wind- and waterproof.
Hat/Cap or bandana
It can be a windproof jacket, but it does not replace the obligatory waterproof jacket and vice versa.
Extra clothes, socks, full sleeve or T-shirt, sunglasses
Participants must carry their CNIC/Passport.
Participants must carry some cash in hand.

We’ll leave Saturday the 18th of July 2026 for Thandiyani.

The race participants will be given the facility of transportation from Islamabad to Thandiyani, dinner, a night stay at Thandiyani and Forest Rest House at Thandiyani, and breakfast in the early morning.

Meet up for departure: 11:00 am Saturday 18th July 2026, F-9 Park Islamabad
Departure for Abbottabad: 12:00 pm
Arrival at Thandiyani Top: 04:00 pm
Dinner at Thandiyani: 06:00 pm
Into Rest Houses Rooms: at 08:00 pm sleep well

Vehicles will leave after finishing the race (Sunday evening 19th of July 2026) from Khaira Gali to for Islamabad. The race participants will be given the facility of transportation from Khaira Gali to Islamabad. (Those who have opted Option 2 or 4). 

I declare, that I will abide by the rules of the MTR Club and accept that the organizers will not be liable for any loss, damage, action, claim, costs or expenses which may arise in consequence of my participation in this event.
I declare that I will not compete in this race, unless I am in good health and will be competing at my own risk.
I authorize the organizers to use any details or photographs (before, during and after the event) for publicity and promotion purposes.
Galiyat Mountain Trail 60k Race is a demanding running event and you should be fit enough to at least run the majority of the route. The event is not open to those intending to walk the entire event.
The organizers of the race have the right to refuse entry and the decision of their officials will be final.
Race registration only for people over 16+
The Organizer reserves the right to cancel or make any last-minute alterations to the route or cancel any race due to FORCE MAJEUR circumstances.
I understand that competing in this event may involve running and walking on wilderness trails with rocks, roots, stream crossings, and up and down steep terrain. The hazards may include but are not limited to; challenging terrain, rocks, roots, adjacent streams, rivers, motor vehicle traffic, slippery surfaces, loose rocks, soft sand, weather conditions, heat exhaustion, hypothermia, actions of spectators, other competitors, general public and the event organizers personnel.
Additionally, all athletes should use due care under the circumstances to comply with all rules, regulations, statutes, and laws of Pakistan.
Your decision to voluntarily partake in the event/race signifies your acknowledgment of the disclaimer and that you shall not bring any legal action against organizers of the events for any claim.
Your signature will be required upon registration in order to participate, as a confirmation that you have read, accept and will abide to the laws & rules as specified in the declaration above.
