​🌙 MTR Flagship Event: Hike & Iftaar Under the Open Skies

Join Team Margalla Trail Runners (MTR) for a soulful evening of community, hiking, and a potluck Iftaar at the breathtaking Ridge Trail Top. This is a family-oriented get-together. We can’t wait to see the MTR family, including the little ones, out in nature!

📍 Event Details

Date: Saturday, 14th March

Location: Ridge Trail (Fire Hut), Margalla Hills

The Hike: A scenic, beginner-friendly trek (approx. 2km up / 2km down).

🕒 The Schedule

03:30 PM: Meet at Islamabad Zoo Parking (Carpooling coordination).

04:30 PM: Meet at Talhar Morr (For those coming directly).

The Ascent: A short hike to the Ridge Trail Fire Hut.

Sunset/Iftaar: Breaking fast together under the open sky!

The Descent: Hiking back to the vehicles post-Iftaar.

🍱 The “One-Dish” Potluck (Iftaar-cum-Dinner)

To ensure variety and minimize waste, we are following a One-Dish rule:

Contribute: Everyone is requested to bring one dish to share.

Coordinate: Please comment below or message the group with your dish so we can ensure a diverse menu.

Portion Control: Bring just enough for a few people; let’s ensure no food is wasted!

🎒 Essential Gear & Guidelines

🚫 Zero Waste Policy: We have a strict zero-tolerance policy for littering. We carry back everything we bring, including all wrappers, peels, and trash.

🍴 Personal Kit: Please bring your own garbage bags and reusable cutlery/plates to help us stay eco-friendly.

🔦 Lighting: Since we will descend after dark, headlamps or flashlights are mandatory.
