Pir Chinasi Run

Pir Chinasi Top is at an altitude of 2900m and 28 km far from the middle of Muzaffarabad city, the Capital of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK). Pir Chinasi Top is one of the most beautiful and scenic places in AJK. It is the most challenging, most demanding, toughest, and steepest hill road running route. It has more than 2300m elevation and a 28 km completely uphill road route. It starts from 700m altitude and ends at 2900 and most importantly hardly any point of the flat area provides relief to runners.

Margalla Trail Runners (MTR) did this run back in September 2021 and June 2023, April 2024 in hot and humid days and last year in November 9, 2025. This time we are doing it on November 8, 2026. So, be ready for the toughest ever hill road challenge.

Meeting Time & Place: 04:00 am at Aabpara Chowk, G-6, Islamabad.
Meeting Time & Place at Muzaffarabad: 07:00 am at J&K Monument,  Muzaffarabad City.
Running Start Time: 07:30 am
Terrain: Uphill Road
Distance: 30km
Ascent: 2400 meters
Time Duration: 5 to 6 hours
Level: Advanced and Very Difficult
Shoes: Road Shoes.
Hydration & Food: 1 to 2-liter water, Dates, Chocolates, Bananas, ORS, etc.
Gears: Trail running vest or 5 to 10-litter running beg, Rain Jacket/windbreaker, extra shirt, extra Socks, full sleeve shirt, Sunglasses, hat/cap.
