Margalla Triathlon 2026 | Participant Waiver & Release of Liability

Event: Margalla Triathlon (1st Edition) Organizers: Margalla Trail Runners (MTR) Location: Gulberg Greens, Islamabad Date: April 26, 2026

1. Acknowledgment of Risks

I understand that participating in the Margalla Triathlon involves significant physical exertion and inherent risks. These risks include, but are not limited to:

• Swim: Drowning, water quality issues, or collisions with other swimmers.

• Bike: Falls, mechanical failures, and collisions with vehicles, pedestrians, or other participants.

• Run: Dehydration, heat exhaustion, and physical strain. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation in this event.

2. Medical Fitness

I certify that I am in good health and physically trained to compete in the distance I have selected (Sprint or Olympic). I am not aware of any medical condition that would make my participation dangerous to myself or others. I agree that if I experience any symptoms of distress, I will immediately stop and notify the nearest race official.

3. Safety & Equipment

• Helmets: I understand that wearing a certified cycling helmet is mandatory during the bike segment. Failure to do so will result in immediate disqualification.

• Traffic: I acknowledge that while the course is in a secure area (Gulberg Greens), I must remain alert to marshals’ instructions and potential authorized vehicles.

• Conduct: I agree to follow the rules set by Margalla Trail Runners and to behave with sportsmanship toward volunteers and fellow athletes.

4. Release of Liability

In consideration of the acceptance of my entry, I, for myself, my heirs, and my legal representatives, hereby waive and release Margalla Trail Runners, its founders, event directors, volunteers, sponsors, and the management of Gulberg Greens from any and all claims, liabilities, or causes of action arising out of my participation, including but not limited to personal injury, death, or property damage, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

5. Medical Authorization

I authorize the event medical team to perform first aid or arrange for emergency medical transport if I am injured. I understand that I am responsible for any costs associated with medical treatment and transportation.

6. Media & Photography

I grant Margalla Trail Runners the irrevocable right to use my name, photograph, video, and film likeness captured during the event for any promotional or commercial purposes, including social media and website content, without compensation.

7. Refund & Cancellation Policy

I understand that the organizers reserve the right to modify the course or cancel the event due to extreme weather, safety concerns, or “Force Majeure” events. In the event of cancellation, Margalla Trail Runners will communicate the refund or credit policy at their discretion.

I have read, understood, and agree to the Terms and Conditions and the Liability Waiver above.

I confirm that I am 18 years of age or older (or have the consent of a legal guardian to participate).
